![]() Car had an oil leak and had to be exchanged for an expedition. However, the vehicle would vibrate if you went over 65mph. ![]() The alternative was to drive towards my destination and try to exchange the vehicle. There was no way to reach BWI to confirm a replacement. I could not get the call center to guarantee me a replacement. I was then informed I could go to BWI ( more than an hour out of my way during rush hour) for a vehicle that may or may not be there. The call center indicated there were no more suburbans. ![]() Therefore, my trip was delayed by more than an hour because we were trying to get a confirmation on an available replacement. I was on the phone with customer service for more than an hour prior to leaving for my trip and maybe another hour while driving. We had seven people including children and only six working seat belts. Most important one of the seat belts did not work. Beads in the back(chocking hazard for kids) and dirt and smudges everywhere. First of all the truck was dirty and smelled of smoke. Whatever assistance you can lend would be appreciated. We contacted roadside assistance immediately and was told that we needed to pull over so that they can identify where the truck was, and someone could come service the vehicle, they are still in Kearny Missouri at the hotel so now we have incurred the expense of the truck, the gas thus far, hotel night say and food. Unfortunately there were no headlights on the truck but had to ride with the hazards on so we wouldn’t get pulled over by the police, the next morning May 30, 7 AM my husband drove about 10 hours the check engine light came on. We contacted roadside assistance and a mechanic came but the best he could do is document the situation and gave us zip ties to secure the truck, that was bogus! We then attempted to move the truck at about 11:30 PM on 29 May to a family friends home because we sold our house and are relocating. After the arduous task of loading this 26’ truck from top to bottom the evening of the 29th, we needed to move the truck to alternate location, that’s when we discovered the back door was rusted with a broken latch which prevented us from securing our belongings in the truck. we received the truck on Sunday, May 28, I was advised by Lily at the Lombard Illinois facility that this was the only truck that they could find and that it had recently had repairs done on it. We are being told that there needs to be some type of manager approval in order for the mechanic to begin it’s about a 5 hour repair job. Currently, my husband and his driving companion are in Kearny Missouri after the engine light came on and he was not able to drive it any further, at a hotel for two nights now with no resolution in sight and no guarantees or answers on when repairs will happen. I rented a budget Rent-A-truck for our move from the Chicagoland area to Maricopa Arizona.
